What is the difference between decals and stickers?
All stickers are stickers, but not all stickers are stickers! Stickers generally refer to simply peeling off the backing and sticking the design onto the surface. If you want something that will last outdoors, choose a vinyl or polyester sticker. Decals refer to decorative graphics printed on special paper that are transferred from masking paper to another surface. A sticker often comes in three pieces: a backing paper, the sticker itself, and transfer paper on the front. Thanks to the transfer process, applying designs with complex letters and shapes is much easier, as they can be applied to the wall with precise alignment. Lettering and graphics cut from vinyl are often called "stickers," while all other printed vinyls in one piece or transparent polyester are "decals." Decals are generally large-format and intended for walls, floors, and windows.
